  • Dr. Kimberley Duff Earns Prestigious Western Psychological Association Award

    Cerritos College’s Psychology Professor Dr. Kimberley Duff received the Western Psychological Association’s 2017 Outstanding Teaching Award.  Duff was selected for the high quality of her psychology instruction.   • College for Youth Program Offers New Classes in STEAM Inventions, 3D Animation, Kitchen Chemistry and More

     

    Registration for the summer 2017 College for Youth program is now open at Cerritos College. Classes begin June 19 and continue through August 11. The College for Youth program offers classes for children, first through 12th grade in math, writing, SAT, computer technology, cooking, music, art, and sports.   • Retiree Rich Cameron Recognized

     

    The Cerritos College Board of Trustees recognized retiree Rich Cameron for his many years of service to the College at the May 3 board meeting. Rich Cameron spent 20 years at Cerritos College which constitutes half of his forty years as a professor in the California Community College system. During his tenure at Cerritos, Rich has advised on 419 issues of Talon Marks. He served as department chair throughout his tenure at Cerritos and served as curriculum chair for seven years...     Cerritos College Technology department teamed up with Civil Air Patrol (CAP) Squadron 68 at the Orange County Fair Imaginology STEAM event in April. Civil Air Patrol is the official auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force that performs three congressionally assigned missions including emergency search & rescue and disaster relief services, aerospace education, and cadet programs for teenage youth...   • May is national foster care awareness month
  • Celebrate National Foster Care Awareness Month

     

    Cerritos College is celebrating National Foster Care Awareness Month with events during the month of May. The State of California serves approximately 63,000 foster youth. Cerritos College is home
    to more than 150. The College also provides resources to help foster youth caregivers to develop effective parenting skills to help cultivate nurturing homes for foster children in the community. Check out the foster care awareness events throughout the month!
