Mission Statement

The Educational Technology (EDT) Department prepares students for success in technology-enhanced learning, instructional support, and AI-informed educational environments. The department serves both future and current educators, as well as students pursuing educational technology, instructional design, accessibility, and digital learning support roles across K–12, higher education, nonprofit, and workforce training settings.

EDT coursework emphasizes practical, future-ready skills in educational technology, instructional design, digital literacy, accessibility and Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and responsible AI integration. Through flexible, online-accessible pathways and workforce-aligned certificates, the department supports equitable access, career mobility, and transfer preparation while responding to evolving educational and workforce needs.
