STEP 1 - Eligibility Review

  1. Were you in foster care placement on or after your 13th birthday? (proof of dependency required, LINC/NextUp staff can help with obtaining documentation)
  2. Do you plan to enroll in at least one credit course at Cerritos College?

  • LINC – be age 26 or older at the beginning of the academic year joining the program AND must have completed no more than 90 units at Cerritos College*                                                                                                     
    *Appeal possible. Contact the LINC/NextUp program for appeal information 

  • NextUp – be age 25 or younger at the beginning of the academic year joining the program

STEP 2 - Complete Interest Form

If you answered YES to these questions, please complete the interest form and we will contact you after submitting the form.

If you are not certain whether or not you were in foster care and need additional assistance, please email our office.

STEP 3 - Complete a LINC/NextUp Orientation

Once your eligibility is verified, LINC/NextUp staff will help you sign up for a LINC/NextUp Orientation to learn about program services and student responsibilities and become officially enrolled in the program.
