Public Transportation Operations

The Public Transportation Operations user service bundle comprises these four user services:

Public Transportation Management, which uses automatic vehicle location (AVL) and information technologies to optimize fleet management through improved scheduling, services and personnel management.
En-Route Transit Information, which uses AVL, variable message signs (VMS), and related technologies to provide transit users real-time information on transit schedule, service route, transfer, fare, and incident.
Personalized Public Transit, which uses AVL related technology to provide demand response transit services.
Public Travel Security, using surveillance technology (e.g. on-board distress alarm, CCTV, and mayday equipment) and AVL technology to improve safety and security inside vehicles and at transit facilities (including remote facilities).
