DUSD - Columbus High School

The Cerritos Complete Promise Program is a great opportunity for students to smoothly transition to college. This program provides opportunities for students to obtain the skills and knowledge needed for college, explore a variety of careers, save money on their college education, and graduate from college on-time. 

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

The Cerritos Complete Promise Program is available to our partner district students graduating high school or completing their equivalency from an adult school in 2019-2020. Students must complete all 5 eligibility steps by the deadlines.

January 24, 2020

1. (a) FAFSA/DREAM Act Application for 2020-2021.

(b) Financial Aid Packet - Must be completed and all forms must be submitted to Cerritos College Financial Aid Office

Fill out a slip to meet with Matthew Botello. He is available every Friday from 9:30am-1pm at Columbus High School.

(a) October 1, 2019 - March 2, 2020

(b) April 30, 2020

2. Cerritos College Summer Application  Fill out a slip to meet with Matthew Botello. He is available every Friday from 9:30am-1pm at Columbus High School. February 27, 2020
3. Submit Cerritos Complete Intent Form 

Online Form

You must have a Cerritos College Student ID # 
(Example – 2211111) in order to submit your form

March 2, 2020

4. (a) Submit the placement forms for Math, English/ESL, and Reading.

2019-2020 High School Graduates use the Self-Report Tool (SRT) placement form. You will need your high school transcript.

2019-2020 Students that are completing equivalency use the Guided Placement Tool (GPT) placement form.

(b) Sign-up for a 3 hour Falcon Edge Orientation Workshop. Sign-ups are not available at this time.

Fill out a slip to meet with Matthew Botello. He is available every Friday from 9:30am-1pm at Columbus High School.

5. Attend a Falcon Edge Orientation Workshop at Cerritos College and Enroll in Fall Semester classes in your MyCerritos account.

Students must enroll and successfully pass (Grades of C or better) their Math and English/ESL classes in until they complete transfer level (Example - Math 112 and English 100)

When they successfully complete transfer level, they meet their academic requirements for Cerritos Complete.

Get ahead on your 1st Year Requirement! Enroll in a Summer 2020 Counseling Class (COUN 101B) in your MyCerritos account.

 

*All steps and dates are subject to change.

Students that successfully complete all 5 eligibility steps will be admitted into the Cerritos Complete Promise Program.
