FLEX Requirement

FLEX is designed to support faculty participation in activities that enhance professional growth and contribute to the improvement of instruction, student success and institutional effectiveness. These activities align with the goals of the California Community Colleges Flexible Calendar Program and aim to foster continuous development among faculty and staff.

At Cerritos College, FLEX activities serve as a required component of the academic calendar for full-time faculty. In alignment with California state regulations and the faculty union agreement, full-time faculty are mandated to participate in FLEX. Participation hours are tracked annually through Cornerstone and records are subject to review during audits conducted by the state.
