Check-in Instructions

Check-In: Newly Admitted Students (Outside the U.S.) 

 Newly Admitted F-1 International Students (outside the U.S.) are required to bring the following documents:

  1. I-20
  2. I-94 Arrival/Departure Document (International students can print out a copy or ask for assistance at the Office of International Student Services)
  3. Passport(s)
  4. Visa (Stamped inside your passport)
  5. Address and Phone Number in the U.S.
  6. Medical Insurance (The required international student insurance must be purchased through the institutional carrier at Cerritos College)

Other steps that will take place at the Check-In include:

  1. Take the assessment tests in ESL/English, Math, and Reading - Please visit the Office of International Student Services for more information.
  2. Schedule an appointment with an International Academic Counselor and create an education plan.
  3. Sign up for the Mandatory New Student Orientation and Welcome Reception
  4. A registration date will be assigned to you (Check your myCERRITOS account)
  5. Enroll for classes and pay fees.

Newly Admitted Transfer F-1 International Students (Inside the U.S.) are required to bring the following documents:

  1. I-20
  2. I-94 Arrival/Departure Document (International students can print out a copy or ask for assistance at the Office of International Student Services)
  3. Passport(s)
  4. Visa (Stamped inside your pasport)
  5. Address and Phone Number in the U.S.
  6. Medical Insurance (The required international student insurance must be purchased through the institutional carrier at Cerritos College)

Other steps that will take place at the Check-In include:

  1. Stop by the Office of International Student Services located in the Santa Barbara building to obtain a referral form to take the Placement Test.
  2. Schedule an appointment with an international academic counselor and create an education plan.

  4. A registration date will be assigned to you via email (Check your myCERRITOS account)
  5. Enroll for classes and pay fees.
