Pre-arrival Check-In: Newly Admitted Students (Outside the U.S.) 

 Newly Admitted F-1 International Students (outside the U.S. and change of status) are required to submit the following documents/updates to the office:

  1. Update on visa application

Before Program Starts: Newly Admitted Students (Inside and Outside the U.S.)

Newly Admitted F-1 International Students are required to do the following tasks:

  1. Schedule an appointment with an international academic counselor and create an education plan.
  2. A registration date will be assigned to you via email (Check your myCERRITOS account).
  3. Enroll for classes and pay fees for your intended first semester.
  4. Complete the F-1 International Student Orientation Canvas Course and upload all required documents and complete all required assignments.
  5. Purchase Medical Insurance (The required international student insurance must be purchased through the institutional carrier at Cerritos College - no exceptions)

Newly Admitted F-1 International Students are required to do the submit the following documents in the F-1 International Student Canvas Orientation Course:

  1. I-94 Arrival/Departure Document (International students can print out a copy or ask for assistance at the Office of International Student Services)
  2. Passport(s)
  3. Visa (Stamped inside your passport)
  4. Address and Phone Number in the U.S.
  5. Proof of purchase of Medical Insurance (The required international student insurance must be purchased through the institutional carrier at Cerritos College)
