High Tech Center (HTC)
The High Tech Center provides specialized training and assistive technology. Interactive activities and workshops are offered on the many hardware and software applications to facilitate learning. Examples of assistive technology available for use in the High Tech Center may include:
- Speech to text devices and software
- Text to speech devices and software
- Screen readers and magnifiers
- Audio books and reference materials
- Alternate keyboards
Students who wish to schedule an appointment for training on assistive technology, please use the Schedule an Appointment form or call us at (562) 860-2451 ext. 2335 to request an in-person or Zoom appointment with HTC staff.
HTC Open lab hours
In addition to providing computer and wifi access to those who need it, the HTC Open Lab is available for the following:
- Support with enrollment, accessing the SAS Student Portal, MyCerritos or Canvas;
- Support applying/re-applying to the college and/or the SAS program;
- Basic technology support;
- Practicing on AT software;
- Studying prior to exams in the Testing Center.
HTC ZOOM DroP-INs
Students who need assistance enrolling, accessing the SAS Student Portal/accommodation letters, MyCerritos or Canvas, and/or other basic technology support may attend our High Tech Center Zoom drop-in sessions.
