Program Overview

Conservation Corps Opportunities

In partnership with the Norwalk and Vista Energy Corps, our Continuing Education Division is offering a unique and challenging, paid experience for young adults across the state of California where you complete your Energy-Corps Certificate.

The CA Conservation Corps operates several paid conservation programs across the state, such as the Backcountry Trails Program, Forest Health, Emergency Response, Veterans Corps Fisheries Program and Watershed Stewards Program, amongst others. These are all incredibly unique and rewarding experiences for those who like to work in the backcountry, or even abroad.

Basic qualifications for certification

The California Conservation Corps welcomes you

  • Corpsmembers emerge from the CCC with character, credentials and commitment.
  • Once enrolled, expectations are high.
  • You must be 18-25 years of age.
  • You must be a California resident.
  • You must be able to successfully pass fingerprint and background check, drug test, physical exam and training.
  • You must be willing and able to work outdoors in all types of weather and conditions.
  • You must be willing and able to respond to emergencies and be away from home or assigned center for two weeks or longer.
  • You must be willing and able to participate in the CCC education program.
