Credit for Prior Learning (CPL), also known as Prior Learning Assessment (PLA), is
college credit awarded for validated skills and knowledge gained outside of the traditional
classroom. If you are a current or former apprentice, you may be eligible to earn
college credit through the CPL process.

If you are a current or former Field Ironworker Apprentice looking to start the Associate
of Science in Field Ironworkers, you may need to submit CPL forms. If you are unsure
please contact the apprenticeship programs office at (562) 860-2451 Ext. 2578 and
fill out the A.S Interest Form
If you are a current or previous California Conservation Corps Student please contact
the apprenticeship office (562)860-2451 Ext. 2578 to get start with the credit for
prior learning process.
