Selection Procedures for Employee Groups:


Selection Committee Participation & Training

Constituency group representatives as listed in the selection procedures are appointed by constituency group leadership. Employees who are interested in serving on selection committees should contact their respective constituency group. 

All appointed selection committee members must be receive Selection Committee training to ensure a fair and equitable selection process. 

Following an offer of employment, individuals are required to complete the following steps to be cleared for hire: 

  • Onboarding Paperwork
  • Tuberculosis (TB) Clearance
  • Live Scan Clearance through DOJ

Virtual Townhall - May 10, 2023

The Office of Human Resources hosted a virtual town hall to share information about some of HR's onboarding processes and to receive campus-wide feedback. Those who were unable to attend can access the town hall recording below. 

It is required that any employee who sustains a job-related injury/illness immediately reports the injury/illness to their immediate manager or supervisor. 

Review the Worker's Compensation guide to understand the roles and responsibilities of employees, managers, and the District should an injury/illness take place. 

Supervisor's Accident Investigation/Injury & Illness Incident Report Form

Employees who wish to resign or retire must complete the Resignation Form and submit it to HR@cerritos.edu

Once the resignation form is received by the Office of Human Resources, the employee will be contacted with additional information regarding their health benefits. 

Preparing for Retirement

Employees are responsible for consulting with their respective retirement agency prior to making any retirement decisions related to their last day of service, pension amount, service credits, beneficiaries, etc.
