President's Innovation Fund

The President's Innovation Fund was established in 2015 to support student development, achievement and engagement; advance academic innovation and creativity; and advance the College's goals and strategies. Today, the President's Innovation Fund is designed to support innovative projects and programs that align with our single goal: to graduate fifty percent of our students within five years or less by 2029.

Funding requests should be submitted before October 1 to be considered for the current fiscal year. After the October 1 deadline, Executive Council will review all initiatives for consideration of approval and funding. For further guidelines and criteria please see below.

To request funding, please fill out the request questionnaire

All faculty, staff, managers, and administrators are welcome to submit a request for project and program funding through the President's Innovation Fund.

To ensure all requests have an opportunity to be considered for the fiscal year, funding requests should be submitted by October 1. Fill out the questionnaire above to be added to the list of initiatives currently being reviewed. The questionnaire will ask you to provide details of the project or program including:

  • Total funding requested with breakdown of expenses
  • Plan to institutionalize funding from other sources if not a one-time expense
  • Description of how the initiative contributes to one or more of the levers and strategies in our Students First Framework
  • Description of metrics to measure effectiveness
  • How the initiative has a positive impact on our campus and community

If you would like to request funding after this deadline, you may request an exemption by writing a detailed response as to why Executive Council should grant the exemption in the request questionnaire.

The total maximum allowance from the President's Innovation Fund will be $25,000 per fiscal year. If you would like to request funding that exceeds this maximum allowance, you may request an exemption by writing a detailed response as to why Executive Council should grant the exemption in the request questionnaire.

Following the October 1 request deadline, President's Innovation Fund requests will be added to the agenda at the next Executive Council meeting. The review process may occur over several Executive Council meetings to ensure sufficient time and discussion are taken for all requests. Once the entire review process is complete, requestors will be notified via email.

If the funding request is time-sensitive, please include additional information in the request questionnaire under question 7, "Is there anything else you would like to add to your request?"
