The Science, Engineering, and Mathematics (SEM) Division welcomes you to Cerritos College!
Our programs inspire students to solve problems and create new solutions. SEM prepares students for careers that will address challenges in the community and throughout the world utilizing innovation and discovery.
We offer rigorous educational opportunities in astronomy, biology, chemistry, computer and information sciences, earth sciences, engineering, mathematics, and physics. Our talented faculty and dedicated staff have built a challenging program that provides quality instruction, practical laboratory training, research experiences, and comprehensive student support. Our classes are taught in several modalities of in-person, hybrid, and online to meet multiple learning styles and the personal needs of our community. We are committed to providing a plan for students to earn certificates, an associate degree, or transferring to a four-year institution.
