Student Success Completion Grant
The Student Success Completion Grant is a new financial aid program that helps you
afford full-time enrollment so you can graduate, begin your career and start earning
money sooner. If you’re a current California community college student or are planning
to enroll, you now have the opportunity to receive more financial aid as a full-time
student.
AM I ELIGIBLE?
- Enrolled Full time (12 or more units)
- Receiving a Cal Grant B or C award
- Maintaining federal Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
- California Resident or is exempt from paying nonresident tuition
HOW DO I APPLY?
To apply for Cal Grant and Student Success Completion Grant you must submit both applications by the MARCH 2nd DEADLINE.
Note: The Cal Grant competitive deadline is SEPTEMBER 2nd.
AWARD AMOUNTS
With the Student Success Completion Grant, the more classes you take, the more money you’re eligible to receive. You can get up to $8,000 a year to help cover education and living expenses. That means you can work less, take more classes and stay on track to get your degree faster. Dream future, here you come!

PLAN FOR SUCCESS
Schedule an appointment with our Counseling Department to set up an education plan that fits your goals. An education plan will help you choose classes carefully and avoid taking unnecessary courses. It is important to remember, to earn an associate degree in two years, students must take at least 15 units each semester.

Important Information - By 2020, it is estimated that 60 percent of all jobs will require a college degree. Students who earn a degree from a California community college will nearly double their earnings within three years. And, graduating from a community college will double an individual’s chance of finding a job.
