Demonstrate understanding of the historical context in which the books of the Christian Scripture were written.
Distinguish between the various genres and literary devices employed by the author(s) of the Christian Scripture.
Identify a variety of thematic issues as they are developed in different books of the Christian Scripture.
Analyze specific passages and thematic issues in group discussions and analytic essays, using various approaches to literary criticism.
Produce college-level writing that demonstrates appropriate use of primary and secondary sources, and correct MLA format and documentation.
