English 228 Course SLOs

• Identify aesthetic and formal components of Shakespeare’s plays including conventions of a range of Early Modern dramatic genres (e.g. comedy, tragedy, history, and romance). 
• Identify features of individual cultures as represented in the plays. 
• Recognize literary, cultural, and historical influences on specific texts.
• Conduct critical analyses to literary works that demonstrate the conventions of literary analysis and scholarship. 
• Demonstrate comprehension of the above through class discussion, written exams, multimodal projects, and/or essays using MLA formatting and documentation.
