Read and demonstrate a comprehension of literary theory (specifically queer theory) and criticism as it applies to the texts of the course.
Recognize and critique queer characters and themes within literature.
Demonstrate an understanding of the effects of hetereosexism, hetereonormative standards, and gender binary norms within our society through literature.
Conduct research and utilize secondary sources in an analytical research paper.
