California State University (CSU) Data Center

The Institutional Research and Analyses (IR&A) serves as a resource for the entire California State University community, providing information, research, analytical services and data analysis at the CSU. In particular, the Student Origin Dashboard displays student enrollment and demographic information for first-time community college transfers, which includes data on community college origin, discipline, demographics, and academic performance. Moreover, the Admissions Dashboard includes applications and admissions data for new undergraduate and graduate students and information about where they came from, including the community college origin.

IPEDS

The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) gathers information from every college, university, and technical and vocational institution that participates in Title IV federal student financial aid programs. Each year, Cerritos College participates in three survey components (Fall, Winter, and Spring) that collects data on enrollment and admissions, program completions, graduation rates and outcome measures, faculty and staff, finances, institutional costs, students financial aid, and academic libraries. College Navigator is a college search tool and the College Affordability and Transparency Center displays information about tuition at postsecondary institutions.

Student-Centered Funding Formula (SCFF)

The Student-Centered Funding Formula (SCFF) was adopted in 2018-2019 as a new way to fund California community college districts (i.e., base allocation, supplemental allocation, and student success allocation). Two dashboards have been developed: 1) SCFF prior formula comparison and 2) SCFF analysis of counts and patterns across the SCFF.

Student Success Metrics Dashboard

Organized around common goals such as adult education/ESL, short-term career education, and degree/transfer, the metrics capture progression along students’ educational journey from recruitment to completion, transfer, and the workforce. Student Success Metrics pinpoint critical milestones and accomplishments that align with the Vision for Success and the Student-Centered Funding Formula, and integrate metrics associated with various initiatives and funding streams.
