Words of wisdom for future transfer students:

Surround yourself with like-minded and goal-driven individuals at Cerritos college. Take advantage of the camaraderie and motivate each other to achieve your educational goals. My group of friends at Cerritos have produced numerous physicians, pharmacists, and nurses - and that is because we kept each other accountable and motivated. Also, never forget to give back and pass it forward.

Career and future goals:

After Cerritos College, I finished my BS in Biological sciences at UCI. I then went on to finish my MD degree at UC Riverside where I was part of their inaugural medical school class. I am currently in my 5th and final year of General Surgery training at the University of Massachusetts - Chan Medical School/Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. After this year, I will be pursuing further training in Vascular and Endovascular surgery at the Northwell Health Hospital System in New York City. I hope to come back to UC Riverside and become a vascular surgeon in the Inland Empire where there is a significant underserved population.
