These workshops are designed to:

• Address job search strategies, resume and cover letter writing, interviewing techniques, filling out applications, following up, and writing a thank-you letter or emails.
• Discuss common workplace practices and concerns.
• Review and reinforce strategies for balancing work and daily life.

Work-Study Pre-employment Preparation (PEP) Workshops are mandatory for all students participating in the CalWORKs Work-Study Program.

These workshops are designed to: 

• Build essential skills and strategies for home and school. 
• Create a network of support between student parents. 
• Strengthening the home-school balance and connection. 
• Gain insight into school and community resources and aid.
