Eligible applicants are single parents who: 

  • Provide primary financial support for their dependents
  • Are from California or Minnesota
  • Have financial need
  • Are enrolled in or have been accepted to an institution of higher learning, a trade or technical school, or a certificate program
  • Have not previously been a recipient of the Raise The Barr Scholarship
  • Do not possess a bachelor's degree or advanced degree
  • Are not related to volunteers or members of Raise The Barr Board of Directors
  • Have a social security number and reside in the United States

Application Deadline: November 15, 2019

The online application will be available: June 15 - November 15, 2019

The Soroptimist Live your dream Scholarship

The Soroptimist Live Your Dream Scholarship Winners of 2019

 

You are eligible to apply if you:

  • Are a woman with primary financial responsibility for yourself and your dependents
  • Are getting an undergraduate degree program or a vocational skills training program
  • Have financial need
Application Deadline: Opens August 1 - November 15 each year

Requirements:

  1. Have a Gmail account
  2. Student typed statement of 500 words or fewer
  3. Picture of yourself or your family you would like to share
  4. A phot release form for each person in your photo
  5. Reference letter from a CalWORKs staff and/or counselor
