Early Warning and Disqualification

EARLY WARNING

You may be placed on Early Warning for failure to adhere to your Student Responsibilities. As listed in your signed Mutual Responsibility Contract, specifically:

  • Three required EOPS Counseling Appointments per semester (Fall & Spring)
  • Maintaining a cumulative 2.0 GPA
  • Pass a Counseling Course within 1 year of joining EOPS

DISQUALIFICATION

You may be disqualified from the EOPS/CARE programs for failure to adhere to your Student Responsibilities. As listed in your signed Mutual Responsibility Contract, specifically:

  • Being on Early Warning and not adhering to your MRC for the following semester.
  • Failure to adhere to the Educational Plan
  • Completing 70 degree applicable units or completing six consecutive semesters in the program

* If eligible, you may have the opportunity to submit an Appeal Request. *Not applicable for students who have successfully completed 70 degree applicable units. 

SKIPPING A SEMESTER

What happens if you skip a semester?

You will need to reapply to JOIN EOPS and meet all EOPS Criteria.
