Summer Bridge

Would you like to get a head start with your college education after High school?

Can you benefit from additional support and guidance?

Would you like to receive services like textbook support and academic counseling?

Then EOPS Summer Bridge is for YOU!

EOPS Summer Bridge is a well-designed high school to college transition program that will not only prepare you for college, but help you establish strong relationships with counselors, staff members, and other students before entering the Fall semester.

The 2022 Summer Bridge program will offer the following courses:

Counseling 200: Success College and Career (3.0 Units) -online The course is six weeks and will take place form July 5, 2022-August 12, 2022. Courses will be online for student flexibility.

Library 100: Intro to Library Research (1 Unit) -online The course is six weeks and will take place form July 5, 2022-August 12, 2022. Courses will be online for student flexibility.

English 100:Freshman Composition (4 Unit). The course is six weeks and will take place form July 5, 2022 - August 12, 2022. This course will be a hybrid model with students meeting in person on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 am -11:00 pm. 

In addition, students will also receive early admissions into our EOPS program, where you will receive services such as:

Counseling 200: Success College and Career (3.0 Units)

Provide students with knowledge, information, and skills to better understand themselves as students, people, and members of the working world. It will assist them to establish life, career, educational, and personal goals and to develop plans and strategies to successfully meet those goals.

Transfer Credit: CSU; UC

English 100: Freshman Composition

This course guides the student through the writing process to develop expository prose with an emphasis on effective organization and on correctness. It meets transfer requirements at four-year institutions.

Transfer Credit: CSU; UC

Library 100: Intro to Library Research

This course emphasizes the use of library methods and materials that will enable students to locate information for course related study and research. This course is of special value to those students intending to transfer to four-year institutions. This course is offered on a pass/no pass basis.
