Transferring into Nursing

The Nursing Program offers applicants who have completed nursing program courses in another associate degree, baccalaureate degree, or military program the opportunity to prepare for professional nursing through the pursuit of specific knowledge and skills.  Eligible candidates will receive advanced placement into the Cerritos nursing program based on prior learning and course work.  Transfer students are not admitted into the beginning course of the program (N210) nor into the final course of the program (N240/N242).  If you are seeking admission into the beginning course of the program, you will need to apply as an "Option A".  Each student is evaluated on an individual basis on what placement in the nursing program would be suitable.  See the following guidelines:

OPTION E (Transfer and Challenge)

Applicants will be evaluated individually and notified individually.  Admission into the program is based on space availability.
