Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG)
To be eligible for the Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG) recipients must meet the following requirements:

Enrolled in in the first or second academic year of a certificate, AA degree, or transfer program

Enrolled in at least 6 or more units

Pell Grant Recipient
1st Year Awards - Award is up to $750 per year ($375 per semester)

Have completed a rigorous secondary school program of study after January 1st, 2006
2nd Year Awards - Award is up to $1,300 per year ($650 per semester)
- Have completed a rigorous secondary school program of study after January 1, 2005
- Have at least a cumulative 3.0 GPA at the time 30 units are completed
The amount of the student's ACG, in combination with the student's Federal Pell Grant,
other resources, and estimated financial assistance may not exceed the student's financial
need (cost of attendance minus the Expected Family Contribution [EFC] equals financial
need).
