Part-Time Faculty Medical Reimbursement Program

According to Article 10.7 of the 2021-2024 District/CCFF Collective Bargaining Agreement, eligible part-time Faculty can request reimbursement for medical/dental expenses incurred during the current fiscal year (July 1 – June 30) for eligible semesters (fall and spring).

Article 10.7 Program Overview
  • MAXIMUM REIMBURSEMENT AMOUNT: up to $1,100 per semester

  • REQUEST DEADLINE:
    • January 31st for fall semester requests
    • July 31st for spring semester requests

  • MINIMUM PART-TIME ASSIGNMENT REQUIREMENT:

You must have worked for at least 30% (4.5 semester teaching units or 175 hours for counselors, librarians & SAS specialist, or 162 hours for non-credit and success center faculty) FTE in Spring 2023 AND at least 30% FTE in at least three semesters within three years of the semester of the request. 

  • ELIGIBLE EXPENSES

Medical and/or dental insurance premiums, OR, if uninsured, actual health and dental costs (such as physician and dentist visits, lab fees, prescription medicines, etc.) incurred during the months eligible for reimbursement, as follows:

    • Fall Requests - expenses for premiums/services during the period of July 1st - December 31st. 
    • Spring Requests - expenses for premiums/services during the period of January 1st - June 30th. 
  • PROGRAM FUNDING
    Per Article 10.7, the District will provide $137,000 each fiscal year towards the Part-time Faculty Medical Reimbursement Program. Requests are processed in the order of receipt until the program funding is exhausted. 

HOW TO APPLY: 

  1. Complete the Medical Reimbursement Form
  2. Upload the required documentation to your request form in the indicated sections to show required proof of payments made for eligible expenses. Review the program outline for examples of acceptable documentation.

ENSURE YOU submit a complete request:

  • Requests are processed in the order of receipt.
  • Your request is not considered received until sufficient supporting documentation is received.
  • If your form is returned to you as insufficient, your form is not considered received until it is returned with the required supporting documents. 
  • Late and/or incomplete requests will not be processed. 

PAYMENT:

  • Fall semester reimbursements will be paid in March in the form of a paper check.

  • Spring semester reimbursements will be paid in September the form of a paper check.

IMPORTANT: Please make sure your mailing address is listed correctly on your request form as checks are mailed to that address!
