ASCC hosts their annual leadership conference on the first week of January at the UCLA Conference Center in Lake Arrowhead.

NOTE:  Once we have 50 paid applications we will maintain a paid waiting list of up to 20 individuals.  After that point the application will be closed. 

What is the ASCC Leadership Retreat?

The ASCC Leadership Retreat is a 3-day residential retreat where students will learn and practice leadership skills in a group setting at the UCLA Conference Center in Lake Arrowhead.  Transportation, session materials, lodging (shared room with own bed and bathroom, in a suite), and food are included, and while there is no cost to students, a $40 deposit is required to secure your spot. Attendance to all workshops is mandatory (deposit will be refunded when the retreat is over).

Eligibility

Students are eligible to attend the conference only if they meet the requirements below:

  • Current Cerritos College student in good standing (CC Catalog, page 27)
  • Enrolled in a minimum of five (5) units during Fall 2025 at Cerritos College
  • Is an ASCC member (paid student activities fee)

Deposits

Once the application has been submitted the student MUST submit the refundable deposit* in person at the Office of Student Life & Leadership in Auto Partners ($40 cash, exact change required).

The $40 deposit will be refunded to students who attend and positively participate in the Leadership Retreat, as outlined in the CODE OF CONDUCT FOR COLLEGE & ASCC SPONSORED ACTIVITIES form all participants must agree to prior to departure. Students who cancel after the application deadline (November 21), do not show up to or attend the retreat, and/or do not follow the Code of Conduct guidelines will forfeit their deposit.
