Falcon Edge Orientation Workshop

Congratulations on choosing Cerritos College!

Placement-Orientation-Counseling is required for first-time, new-to-college students prior to enrollment.

**The placement process for English/English Second Language (ESL), and Math courses should be completed prior to your orientation**   

Falcon Edge Orientation is a Two Step Process 
Step 1- Falcon Edge Orientation Workshop 
Step 2 - One-on-one 30 minute counseling appointment 

Workshop will include:

  • An overview of the college, program and services 
  • College expectations
  • Components of a degree 
  • Enrollment procedures
  • Address general questions

Available Falcon Edge Orientation Workshops

To sign up for a Falcon Edge Orientation Workshop you must have a current Cerritos College Student ID number

·         Be prepared to stay the entire length of the 2 ½ hour workshop presentation,
in addition to a 30-minute one-on-one counseling appointment.  

An email with the zoom meeting information will be sent to those who register the night before or morning of the workshop.

NOTE:
You may be eligible for our Early Success Program (ESP). Eligible students who complete all ESP requirements by the deadline of Friday, May 14th , 2021 may receive an earlier appointment to enroll for their first term's classes. Find out more about "ESP"

New Students who are required to complete AOC will have two holds on their MyCerritos account: one for Assessment (ASM) and the other for Orientation-Counseling (ORI).

To remove the 'ASM' hold, new students must complete the SRT/GPT. 
To remove the 'ORI' hold, new students must complete an Falcon Edge Orientation Workshop.
