New Student Orientations
Congratulations on choosing Cerritos College!
Assessment and Orientation-Counseling (AOC) is required for first-time, new to any college,
students prior to enrollment.
**The placement/assessment tests in English, Reading, and Math, or the ESL test should be completed prior to your orientation**
The Two Hour Workshop will include:
- An overview of the college
- Enrollment procedures
- Review of high school transcripts
- Input from a counselor to help plan your classes.
- Address General Questions

To sign up for a New Student Enrollment Workshop you must have a current Cerritos College Student ID number
Space is limited. Be prepared to stay the entire length of the two (2) hour workshop. Plan on arriving early.

Parking Permit Required
Cerritos College enforces parking regulations at all times.
Parking is $2.00 per day. Dashboard permits are available campus-wide from yellow Parking Permit Dispensers.
Cash and MasterCard and Visa debit and credit cards are accepted.
Violators are subject to citation, tow away, and/or other action.

You may be eligible for our Early Success Program (ESP). Eligible students who complete all ESP requirements by the deadline of TBA (Fall 2020) may receive an earlier appointment to enroll for their first term's classes. Find out more about "ESP"
New Students who are required to complete AOC will have two holds on their MyCerritos account: one for Assessment (ASM) and the other for Orientation-Counseling (ORI).
- To remove the 'ASM' hold, new students must complete assessments/placement, (Math, English and Reading) or ESL testing.
- To remove the 'ORI' hold, new students must complete an in-person orientation or online orientation via 'MyCerritos'
Please be prepared:
Obtaining classes and receiving some services are more difficult this year due to state funding that was cut at all UC, CSU, and community collegecampuses.
Class offerings may be very limited. Please plan your class schedule carefully because demand may be high.
