Counseling Appointments

Counseling Virtual Drop-In- Counselors are available to answer quick questions about course selection, pre-requisite clearances, general program information, new student process, and English, ESL, math placement process. Please note: Drop-in counseling sessions are 10-15 minutes

Counseling appointments can be scheduled up to two weeks in advance and become available Monday-Friday at 12:00am. If you have any questions regarding scheduling a counseling appointment, please email us at . 

The Counseling Department is now conducting in-person appointments in the Cerritos College Conference Center. When scheduling your appointment, please select your preference (virtual or in-person). Once completed, you will receive an email confirmation with additional details. 

Appointment Confirmation: As soon as the appointment is scheduled, you will receive an email with a confirmation of your appointment date, time and counselor name.

  • VIRTUAL counseling appointments - You will receive an email from with a Zoom link and a reminder email the evening before your appointment. 
  • ON-CAMPUS counseling appointments - You will receive an email from and  a reminder email the evening before your appointment. ALL ON-CAMPUS COUNSELING APPOINTMENTS WILL TAKE PLACE IN THE CONFERENCE CENTER. Please arrive early you are required to visit an on-site kiosk to complete a COVID-19 screening, receive a wristband (you are required to wear while on-campus), and ensure you are wearing a mask while indoors at all times. Continuing Student 

 If you are currently enrolled in classes. Please schedule a counseling appointment to

Incoming Transfer Student 

 If you are a transfer student that attended another college, but have never attended Cerritos College. Please schedule a counseling one-on-one appointment to 

  • Develop an educational plan 
  • Review your transcripts and clear pre-requisites
