CPTP Padlet Resources for Mentors and Students

We are maintaining a regularly updated Padlet with resources for mentors and students to plan student experiences. Please feel free to add relevant events yourself. There is no password or log in required to do so.

Your mentees have access to a success coach, Destiny Islas.

Contact Info:

Destiny Islas, Support Coach

Destiny's role is to provide your mentee with an extra layer of support. She will be helping students navigate the steps to become a teacher as she has experienced the Cerritos College pathway to CSULB. Her experience as a community college student that transferred to a university equips her with the skills to advise and support students as they make important decisions on their educational journey.

She will be helping your mentees with:

  • EAM Log Entries
  • Workshops centered on Professionalism in teaching, such as time management.
  • Finding resources, scholarships.
  • Supporting them with managing school, work, and home life.

Please help us make your mentees aware of Destiny.

Teacher Mentor Network: CPTP is building a mentor network. Join us by participating in a Teacher Mentor Network event this semester. More information can be found on the CPTP Mentor Network Calendar of Events.
