TEACHER TRAC MENTOR PROGRAM (TTMP) INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS
Welcome!
The Teacher TRAC Mentor Program empowers students to explore the teaching field under the guidance of a Preschool, Elementary, Middle/High School or College mentor.
Program Highlights, Teacher TRAC Mentor Program students will:
- Explore Pre-K through Community College teaching, STEM Education, Special Education, and Early Childhood Education through workshops and classroom observation.
- Receive guidance and inspiration from a mentor teacher, a success coach, a community of peers and the Teacher TRAC Mentor Program team.
- Students receive a $250 stipend per semester upon completion of 30 hours, which includes classroom visitations, TTMP community-building events, and Padlet activities.
Student Expectations:
- Complete 30 hours through classroom visitations, TTMP community-building events, and Padlet activities.
- Check in with your mentor weekly. Regular reflection with your mentor is a required and important part of your learning experience.
- Check in with a Success coach.
- Participate in the TTMP Pronto Group.
- Log hours weekly.
TTMP Timeline:
- Fall Semester: September through December
- Spring Semester: February through May

general college questions, and any challenges you may encounter. Their goal is to
provide an extra layer of support, helping you navigate the path to a successful teaching
career.
Julie and Guillermo, proud Cerritos College and Teacher TRAC alumni, are thrilled to serve as the TTMP Success Coaches guiding you in your exploration of teaching.

- Workshops centered on professionalism in teaching, such as time management.

- Supporting you with managing school, work, and home life.
